one of my favorite things is to sit and watch the sky. it’s an exercise in stillness and finding joy in what is. i usually take a lot of pictures. you can find them in multiple highlights on my instagram.
when i sit and watch the sky, i remember how much things can change, even in what feels like stillness. i remember that change can feel calm, can be natural, can appear beautiful. the sun sets every day. it seems so routine but manages to be different everyday. watching it, i remember that routine doesn’t mean monotonous. routine gives structure for improvisation, gives us just enough to remember how to move forward and take it all on again. the sky heals me, welcoming me into a calm that’s reliable in its constant change. the sky reminds me that we can take on tomorrow in its beautiful becoming.
