“my job is to make revolution irresistible…”

Following the call from Toni Cade Bambara to make the revolution irresistible, my art and cultural work investigate our ecosystems and our relationships within them. Through my writing, printmaking, music, and other crafting, I seek to represent and play with what holds us together, often using cultural work to prompt interactivity that brings us closer to our liberated futures.

Some favorite projects include:

  • Public art in my neighborhood! I love creating opportunities for neighbors to make things together. This has included hosting Halloween crafting for neighborhood kids on our open streets and developing public art projects to uplift our demand for a ceasefire.

  • Dodi / דודי, a collection of work from trans Jews that I crafted in 2019. This zine features work from trans Jews across the country to celebrate our varied experiences.

  • Kindred Swarm, a cooperative board game I am developing. I love how games allow us to play and test out new ways of problem solving together. During the game, players work cooperatively to build out a map and ensure everybody sticks together. If you want to test it out, reach out :)

  • Let’s Swap, a zine-making and swapping pop-up I co-created for artists and zinesters to connect and play with each other. We ran a day-long series of workshops, and later reformatted this into a multi-day installation at Basilica Hudson so that festival-goers could have a creative way to interact in the space.

  • Astoria At Home, a cookbook I wrote with some neighbors at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I crafted editorial content about radical hospitality and community care, weaving together recipes from favorite restaurants and stories from our neighbors.
